Hello, my name is Elisabetta Venturini and I'm an Italian freelance translator based in Marcon, Venice. My language combinations are English - Italian, Simplified Chinese - Italian, Spanish - Italian. My areas of expertise are mainly art and literature, but I translate also economic, politic and technical texts. I hold a Master's degree in Languages, Economics and Institutions of Asia and North Africa (English, simplified Chinese) from Ca' Foscari University of Venice. I attended two courses in literary translation with a literary agency and a post-graduate course in Literary Translation and Text Editing. I translated a children's book. I love books (evidently :) ), theatre, movies, writing, cooking, travelling with my camper van and playing with my little daughter. I think that it's worth to share good ideas with the world, therefore I'm glad to give my contribution to TED!
