Bio

Freelance Translator from English into Portuguese, holding a bachelor's degree in Languages and Literature with more than five years of experience in the language field. I am currently studying to specialize in the financial / law translation area, besides working on subtitling.

I'm passionate about

Talking about human development. A person can spend her whole life without being conscious about her way of living. We must always rethink our habits and beliefs. I also love animals. That is why I am a vegetarian and take care of ten cats. Language is my field of study and work and the most exciting part of it is that languages are always changing, therefore my career will be constantly on the move.

An idea worth spreading

Human beings are still going through the evolutionary process. We are constantly fighting against our brains to create new habits and break the bad old ones. I believe the key to success is consistency and repetition. Learning and changing come from these two aspects, and I know this is how I will always become better every day.

The TED story

I met TED in my ESL classes as a student. Since I love learning new ideas and points of view, it became really handy throughout the years. Then, when I decided I wanted to become a translator, TED gave me the chance to translate my first video and to learn from it. It keeps helping me as a place where I can train and become a better translator
