The TED story
Back in 2012, I was a TEDx event attendee in the very beginning, but I immediately fell in love with the idea and philosophy of TEDx events, so I became an organizing member of TEDxBusan. I helped with translation and speaker accommodation in 2012 and 2015 TEDxBusan standard events. I also was involved in Salon and Live events. I also managed TED-Ed clubs with my former students, and guided several students to be able to participate TED Translators. After moving to the US, I attended several TEDx events as a volunteer and once was awarded a student scholarship for TEDxAtlanta 2019. I also have been translating TED, TED-Ed, and TEDx talks, which helps me expand my knowledge, and improve my intercultural competence and writing skills.
I have learned a lot from all my experiences with TED, including the importance of sharing ideas with people in the global community, the excitement of organizing events in collaboration with others, and the inspiration for living my life fully in this beautiful world.
