Bio
Hi! My name is Jéssica Silva Magra, I´m a Certified EN<>SP translator, especialized in audiovisual translation and proofreading. I´m Argentinian and I´m 25 years old. I am a very active and dynamic person, I like doing exercise or taking academic courses in order to keep with my constant education. I am very social, I like sharing moments with friends or family. Finally I really enjoy the entertainment world, so this place is right for me!
I'm passionate about
I am a very creative person, I like writing and painting. Also I am very fond of entertainment, I love watching movies and TV series, or reading a good book. I am really curious about audiovisual translation, I pay attention to the equivalent of certain cultural expressions.
An idea worth spreading
I believe in love, in every kind of love, such as self-love, romantic love, parental love, vocational love, friendly love, and so on. I think love is our engine to move forward, what makes us dream about life, that makes us feel inspired and happy, If you feel loved you feel that you can conquer the world. There are so many feelings that arise from it, but these feelings are positive, so there is a positive atmosphere around us, and if there is positiveness, good things might happen to us.
The TED story
During my course of studies, our teachers have constantly showed us multiple TED videos, and diverse ideas to discuss and debate. Afterwards, I also used this material with my students (I work as an English profesor as well) because there are plenty of innovative ideas to share that I would like to spread as well. So when I discovered this opportunity to help as a volunteering translator I´ve immediately signed up to start contributing with the spread of ideas to the Spanish-speaking world, so everyone has the chance to enjoy these ideas.
Things you might not know
I´m good at making people laugh, I´am really social, I like sharing with people. Also I am very creative and innovative, I have good ideas and I can help people to move foward with their projects and mine as well.
