If we strive to achieve better communication competence in our students, listening assessments should be for mother tongue too. Receptive skills need to be recognized as significant as the productive ones. NO ONE should struggle to be included in a world where they already belong to. Inclusive policies should not be a topic to discuss.

My translation professor told us about TED's volunteer translator community, so that day, I signed in and translated my first talk, which was reviewed and published two days after that. Reading my name before the subtitles began, was soooo rewarding =D
