Bio
Mali Kambandu is a communications and media specialist.
Mali is an award-winning writer for short stories, winning the Kalemba Short Story Award in 2018 and has placed on other notable shortlists, including one for her debut novel.
Mali is a Toastmaster with the Madison Toastmasters Club in Lusaka, Zambia.
Mali is a perfumer, making bespoke perfumes as a hobby. She lives in Lusaka with her husband and two children.

The TED story
I began with TEDx by supporting some friends who were hosting the first TEDxLusaka event in about 2011. After that event, I became more involved in the TEDxLusaka Organising Committee in 2016, and in 2017, took on a greater role with the Committee, specifically working on speaker selection/preparation and communications. I am now a co-licensee for TEDxLusaka and am committed to seeing that the event is well-supported and continues to grow year by year.
