basketball. As a middle and high school student, I was a point guard for my school and local team and a basketball team leader as a senior. Basketball has taught me friendship, leadership, and enthusiasm.

What you learn saves lives.

I got to know the TED Translating program when I was a high school student. One of my high school English teachers was a passionate TED Translator and taught me how to do TED translating. I joined this program in July 2018. I attended a TED Korean Translator meeting in 2018 with him. I could feel the passion of the Korean Translator Community for TED Translation there. Since then, I have kept translating TED videos. It took three weeks in a row to translate just one TED-Ed video when I first translated and he helped me a lot. But it took a much shorter time to translate it now and I became a reviewer. I introduced the TED Translating program to my friends as he did to me. I wrote a blog to introduce how to get started with TED Translation to Koreans. He is my role model as he showed me how to live a life with joy and enthusiasm in what he loved. Among what he loved, there was TED Translation. I want to show him how much I grew up.
