The TED story
Former U.S. Vice President and Ambassador to Japan, Walter Mondale is also from Minnesota and I have long admired his dedication to public service. I've always wanted to contribute to making a better society. If you care about the community where you live, you want it to be the best it can be, to realize its full potential, and it seemed that TEDxKyoto was one way I could give something back. By launching TEDxKyoto, I thought I could bring together other like-minded people to work together on building a community centered around big ideas, to help strengthen the local economy, and to assist in realizing a more vibrant global-oriented society in western Japan.
