Promoting Chinese culture and learning in the local community. The driver behind is that I am away from home across continents, and where I live has no Asian or Chinese community. I think we have a lot of interesting information to share and it is great for young generation to absorb some basic concepts about the culture and languages.
My voluntary experience in the local community included giving talk to the local primary school about Chinese New Year, and showing them some artifacts related to the celebrations; demonstrated Chinese cooking with the pupils and the most recent is running a chinese cultural group in the local library with the support of the local council.
