I have always associated myself with organisations that work towards creating a resting impact on the target audience: AIESEC & TED. I have worked with AIESEC for almost 2 years and focused on cross cultural interactions, leadership roles and establishing campus presence for the local chapter. Both the organisations are global, and youth run. I happen to travel every few years and set up a new base in a new city. This has proved conducive to broadening my thinking and perspective of the world. The idea of touching more lives than the ones running in my immediate surrounding, inspires me. I write creative pieces and lead the blog team of IMT Hyderabad in addition to working for the website team.

Biology and music. To me, biology is life (literally) and the day I cease to appreciate the utter complexity and interconnectedness of the human body will be the day that pigs fly (given that we do not genetically modify them to do so). Music is something that has populated my life since I was a child. It has taught me that human relationships can manifest through a simple tune and no-one is ever truly lonely. I hope I can spread joy through my music.

Having been raised in a hill station, I’ve always had an admiration for nature which strengthened further when our school offered us the choice to join the Universal Solidarity Movement (USM) organization during high school. Green India, Clean India, Literate India, Women Empowerment, and Art & Culture were the five major components within the organisation that students were classified into. I was associated with the Green India group for the first year, where we went on multiple plantation drives and produced paper bags that were disseminated throughout the town shops while persuading people to avoid the use of polythene bags. I later had the opportunity to expand my horizon within the organization when I joined another vertical ‘Literate India’ the following year whose primary goal remains providing valuable education and basic literacy skills in subjects like mathematics, language, and science to many relatively unfortunate children in and around the city. Over the next couple of years, I was also actively engaged with Leadership Training Service (LTS) - an organization that enables discussions and interactions that would be aimed at benefiting the country as well as self. The organization conducted weekly meetings where various methods and concepts related to the values one needs to live by, would be under scrutiny and practice. Some of the topics included Care and Share Each One Teach One, and One Good Act a Day. Being a member of both these organizations instilled in me a great desire to give back to the community, whether it was by saving the environment or assisting others; in the reverberation of which, I sought to maintain proximity with some context of public work along with my regular life. Subsequently commenced my journey as a volunteer for a non-profit organisation named Shri Ashwin Maharaj Foundation where we catered to cancer patients and provided them with proper nourishment that would help them improve their health. Later, I also became a member of Enactus - a social entrepreneurship organisation - where I worked on multiple projects, most significant of them all being Project Rachna and Project Aagah. Project Rachna focuses on creating utility craft products with the help of consumer textile waste. To bring this into execution we adopted a slum, educated the women there on how to produce these articles, and further helped them to find a market for selling these products. Project Aagah, on the other hand, strived to affect the young of underprivileged areas by instilling civic awareness in them while stimulating and assisting them towards entrepreneurial thought and action, all with the basic premise of Project Aagah in mind – precautionary awareness for all. I picked social work, however, by and large, I think social work picked me as well, and hence the one thing I'm sure of, beyond a shadow of doubt, is my extravagant indulgence in community work on account of my escalating enthusiasm. My early love of nature has bloomed to being my passion over time, propelled by the realization that we as individuals have a responsibility towards our community and the realm. With this rationale, indulging in community service is not like walking the additional mile for me, yet rather like clearing the path that empowers me to walk.

I am extremely passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation, mainly in turning my ideas into real-world solutions. This year, I worked on a project through a Harvard online course, interning at a startup in the energy industry, and developing its go-to-market strategy for success. I also gained hands-on experience during my internship at Ferrari, where I applied problem-solving and creative thinking in a professional setting. One of my targets is to scale a startup to reach a global audience and create meaningful impact.
