FUTURE:TODAY will be housed in an innovative structure located at Oslo’s iconic Youngstorget. For one day only, the TEDx platform will harness the power of people across the globe to encourage them to host a TEDx event, themed "City 2.0," featuring the brightest local minds and biggest hearts. In unison, we'll share the stories of our beloved homes. Where are the bright spots? The creative adaptations? The transformative responses to injustice? Who is asking the most pressing questions? Pioneering the most complex solutions? Speakers may focus on official City 2.0 themes, including Art, Education, Food, Health, Housing, Play, Public Space, and Safety--all elements whose presence will dictate the success of our future cities.

  • Cesar Harada

    Cesar is a French-Japanese Inventor, Environmentalist and Entrepreneur. Currently developing the Protei – a revolutionary shape shifting sailing robot- with the Open-H2O community,TED Senior Fellow, Unreasonable at sea Entrepreneur, Figure of progress (by GOOD and IBM), PhD candidate at Goldsmiths University of London, writing on “Open Hardware for the Environment” with a strong focus on ocean communities & technologies.

  • Siv Helene Stangeland

    Siv Helene aims to creatively engage with sustainability, not only in the design of spaces, but also in the conception and organization of the design process, including construction and fabrication. Her goal is to move away from a solely technical and anthropocentric view, allowing the project to unfold in relation to its physical, social, cultural and economic context.

  • Django Novo

    Django Novo: Who is this guy? First of all, he’s more than just a voice, because out of whole cloth he makes these songs that have all the feel and atmosphere of the expatriate bars in Paris, in the 1920’s and 1930’s. He says he’s Dutch, but the English of the lyrics he writes is flawless, quirky, idiomatic, polished, and crafty with slang. His arrangements are filled with eloquent silent moments that speak for all the things better left unsaid. The skill of the fingers on all those acoustic stringed and percussion instruments just takes my breath away. He somehow cloned himself, or painstakingly pieced together an ensemble, that makes, THAT SOUND.
