TEDxUNC Charlotte Salon

DateNovember 16, 2026
LocationCharlotte, North Carolina, United States
FormatSalon

This event is invite-only.

While our annual conference brings a broad range of ideas to the main stage, the TEDxUNC Charlotte Salon series offers smaller, intimate gatherings designed to keep the conversation going year-round. These Salon events are meant to engage the UNC Charlotte community specifically. To keep these events intimate, the events will only be open to UNC Charlotte students, staff, and faculty. Additionally, salon speakers are hand-picked by different staff and colleges. All Salon speakers are students, staff and faculty at UNC Charlotte. Unlike our multi-topical main event, each 60- to 75-minute Salon dives deep into a single theme. Featuring brief talks, dynamic presentations, and active small-group discussions, Salons bring students, faculty, and community members together to engage directly with the ideas shaping our world. What to Expect at a Salon Event: Focused Themes: Explore specific subject areas—ranging from global sustainability to community health—one topic at a time. Interactive Format: Participate in open dialogue, ask questions, and collaborate with speakers and fellow attendees in an informal setting. Community Connection: Connect with local leaders, researchers, and peers between our main annual events.
