Bram Berkien
Active Lifestyle Photographer
My focus as an active lifestyle photographer is on capturing images of athletes and other people living their passion. I’m available for both commercial and editorial assignments, working in the Netherlands and throughout Europe. I work embedded in real environments, documenting the human side of working to be the best, whether it’s as an individual athlete or a high performing team. Photographing the lives of passionate people is what drives me, both in the spotlight and behind the scenes. Over the past few years, I’ve worked with elite cyclists, world-class climbers, and Olympic medalists. This has given me vital experience in interacting with these athletes and gaining their trust. It’s also taught me how and when to be present, and when to be a fly on the wall. My work is accessible but not safe or conventional. I aim to showcase the person’s energy and dedication in an authentic way, allowing viewers to really connect with and admire the athlete and their passion.

Speaking Coach
Do you know Picasso’s ‘The Bull’? Those images resonate with me. The more the bull is stripped back—becoming more transparent and vulnerable—the more clearly you can see what it is truly about. By daring to look deeper, you reach the essence. That essence is the common thread in my approach, for that is where powerful communication begins. Starting from that essence, we work together to find the right balance between your verbal and non-verbal communication, enabling you to communicate powerfully in business settings. Since 1989, I have gained experience as a speech therapist, presenter, talk show host, trainer, and coach specializing in verbal and non-verbal communication and presentation—with a particular focus on non-verbal communication. Over the years, I have immersed myself in speech therapy, psychotherapy, breath and voice therapy, personal awareness journeys, female leadership, theater, meditation, and art.
