TEDxGuzape Women 2026 is a curated half-day experience taking place in Abuja on 21 November 2026, bringing together bold ideas, thoughtful voices and a carefully selected audience for conversations designed to challenge what we have accepted as normal.
This year’s theme, The First Daughters: Unchosen and Unbound, explores the roles women often inherit before they are old enough to choose them: responsibility, caregiving, emotional labour, family expectation and the pressure to always be “the strong one.”
Through a series of powerful TEDx talks, the programme moves from Unchosen, where these inherited roles are named and examined, to Unbound, where speakers explore what becomes possible when women are given greater agency, opportunity and freedom to define their own lives.
The conversations span health, unpaid care, culture, leadership, economics, mentorship, technology and family systems, connecting deeply personal experiences to wider social and structural questions.
TEDxGuzape Women is not simply an event about inspiration. It is a space for ideas that provoke thought, shift perspectives and continue long after the room is empty.
