Alejandro Gallardo González
CIS-SFP Y7 IB student
13 years old, is a student at the International School of Sevilla San Francisco de Paula. Born in 2013 in Seville, he has shown a great curiosity for aviation and space since early childhood. At the age of 11, during a visit to the factory of a major aircraft manufacturer, he was impressed to discover the complex network of cables and systems that operate constantly above the passengers, but that usually go unnoticed. This interest led him to research in depth the airborne safety systems, especially those that prevent mid-air collisions. Among his achievements is delivering the final PYP graduation speech and participating in the XXIII Science Fair of Seville. With a curious mind and great determination, Alejandro aims to show in his TEDx talk that there is no need to be afraid of flying. Thanks to systems such as TCAS, airplanes have constant protection that most passengers are unaware of.
