This special, invite-only edition focuses on the future of Education. Designed as an intimate gathering for deep-dive discussions, this salon explores the innovations and challenges shaping how we learn today. While the live event is limited to a curated guest list, the impact is global. Talks will be recorded and available online via TEDx Youtube channel shortly after the session for our entire community to watch. Main Event Coming in November This specialized salon is a prelude to our flagship TEDx conference, which returns this November.   • Alina Guzik

    Scientist | Founder | Innovator

    Alina Guzik is a designer of innovative solutions for education, a writer and an academic teacher. She creates solutions that combine pedagogy, technology, design and scientific discovery. At Gdańsk University of Technology, she conducts research and leads the EdTech Innovation Lab FME. Her educational products have received international recognition and have been implemented in many countries around the world. She has co-created numerous projects under NCBR, NAWA, Erasmus+, Horizon Europe and FERS programmes. She is the author of books and publications on modern education.

  • Beata Krawczyk-Bryłka

    Business Psychologist | Assistant Professor | Executive MBA Director

    Dr. Beata Krawczyk-Bryłka is a business psychologist with a PhD in management and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Management and Economics at Gdańsk University of Technology. She specializes in human capital management, team trust, and the social aspects of IT. For over 25 years, she has focused on supporting students’ personal growth, soft skills, and talent development.

  • Filip Janiak

    Neurophotonics Scientist | Physicist | Open Science Advocate

    Filip Janiak is a physicist, neurophotonics researcher and bioengineering specialist at the University of Sussex. As Scientific Officer for Open Science & Bioengineering within Sussex Neuroscience, he develops advanced optical instruments, multiphoton microscopy systems and custom research tools for neuroscience. With a PhD in solid-state physics, his work connects physics, engineering, open hardware and biological research. He is particularly interested in making complex scientific technologies more transparent, accessible and useful for education, research and discovery.

  • George Kafetzis

    Evolutionary Neuroscientist

    Dr George Kafetzis spends his days studying one of evolution's oldest questions: how did the vertebrate eye first emerge? As a researcher at University of Sussex, his work centers on the structure and function of the shark eye, aiming to trace the origins of neural circuits hundreds of millions of years into the past. Featured internationally for his research, George has become increasingly interested in another system shaped by selection pressures - education. Drawing primarily on his experiences as both a student and educator in different countries, he explores why classrooms fall silent - and how we might help them find their voice.

  • Krzysztof Zięba

    Speaker | Teacher | Researcher

    Krzysztof Zięba is an economist and associate professor at Gdańsk University of Technology, where he teaches mainly business economics and managerial thinking. His research examines how people create, develop and reconsider business ventures, spanning nascent entrepreneurship, family firms, SMEs and franchising. Beyond academia, he contributes to public debate by explaining turbulent markets in accessible language through television and radio appearances. As the creator of the podcast Off My Desk and the YouTube channel Ekonomia na spokojnie, he turns complex economic change into calm, clear and often witty stories about people, markets and business.

  • Marta Kuc-Czarnecka

    Statistician | Vice-Dean | Accreditation Expert

    Marta Kuc-Czarnecka is a Professor of Economics and Vice-Dean at the Faculty of Management and Economics, Gdańsk University of Technology. She is a certified tutor and researcher specializing in multivariate statistical analysis, rankings and composite indicators. Passionate about GIS and modern data visualization, she teaches quantitative subjects through active learning methods such as storytelling, gamification and project-based learning. She combines academic expertise with practical experience in higher education quality assurance and accreditation. She believes that even the most complex topics can be communicated in an engaging, accessible and human-centred way.

    Michał Łochowski is a AI professional developing cutting edge AI models at Amazon with a strong focus on practical AI adoption within organizations. Leading a team initiative focused on integrating AI into everyday workflows and improving operational efficiency. Actively conducting independent research on AI adoption, organizational readiness, and scalable implementation strategies. Interested in bridging advanced AI capabilities with measurable business impact and practical real world use cases.

  • Paweł Ziemiański

    Academic Teacher | Organizational Psychologist | Trainer

    Paweł Ziemiański has been teaching in academia for almost twenty years, lecturing in communication, negotiations, and organizational behaviour. He works as a trainer and consultant, bridging academic knowledge and practice. His work focuses on the human side of organizations — how people communicate, decide, and collaborate. He is a strong believer in case-based learning as a method that brings real complexity into the classroom.
