Calvin Xie
Student
My name is Calvin, and I'm from Wahaha Bilingual School Hangzhou. The reason for choosing this topic is that the world is now facing environmental issues such as global warming and climate change. Therefore, solutions are needed to reduce carbon emissions. Hence, I consider biofuels to be one alternative.
Carina Yan
Student
My name is Carina, and I’m currently a sixth-grader at Wahaha Bilingual School. My hobbies include exploring different languages, playing soccer, the drums, and dabbling in philosophy. Subjectively speaking, I’d describe myself as outgoing, though I do tend to get shy on stage. When I grow up, my dream is to become a philosophy professor at the University of Freiburg in Germany — it’s also my dream school, and I’m drawn to its unique learning atmosphere. This is my second TED Talk, and even though I got nervous up there, I truly loved the experience. I hope I’ll get more opportunities like this to share my thoughts in the future.

Jayden Zhang
Student
My name is Jayden, and I’m 8 years old. I am in grade 2 at Wahaha Bilingual School. I have a great passion for both music and sports. When it comes to music, I am learning to play two instruments: the piano and the violin. As for sports, football is my absolute favorite — and my favourite football player is Cristiano Ronaldo. I admire his hard work, his skill, and his determination. One day, I hope to become a football star just like him. However, my mother always tells me, “Stop dreaming.” But I believe that dreams are the first step to achieving great things. During my free time, I enjoy building intricate Lego creations, which allow my imagination to run wild. I also make sure to practice the piano and the violin regularly because I truly love expressing myself through music. The most relaxing moment of my entire day, without a doubt, is the quiet time I spend reading just before I fall asleep. Curling up with a good book is relaxing and fills my mind with wonderful stories.

Hello everyone, my name is Norma. My personality type is ENTP. I’m the kind of person who could choose a travel destination at the airport based on which flight is about to leave. At the same time, I also have a serious academic side and enjoy spending hours reading scientific journals and doing research. In this talk, I want to share an important message: AI could become one of humanity’s greatest tools, but if we fail to guide it responsibly, it could also become one of its greatest risks.

Patrick Xu
Student
Hi, I'm Patrick, a fourth-grade boy whose brain is always "crunching" on questions. I'm a bit weird — while others eat burgers, I wonder how many miles it traveled. I grew tomatoes for three months and got only two sour fruits, but I loved it. I read reports, watch documentaries, and complain about never enough popcorn chicken. Some say I think too much, but I say curiosity isn't a flaw; it's a superpower. I won't spoil my talk today. Just remember: I'm a kid who believes one bite can change the world. Curious, playful, and ready to make a difference.
Preesha Kailash

Saanvi Ramani
Student
I'm Saanvi, a student who enjoys questioning everyday habits and understanding how they influence the way we think and live. I'm particularly interested in exploring how small, often overlooked actions can have a much bigger impact on our focus, mindset, and overall lifestyle. Whether it's something as simple as how we spend our time or how we respond to distractions, I like to look beyond the surface and understand the deeper effects. Instead of just accepting things as normal, I try to think critically and form my own perspective. I believe that being aware of our habits is the first step toward improving them, and this mindset has shaped the way I approach both my learning and my daily life.

Sandy is a Grade 11 student who has been practicing Latin dance since the age of six. What started as a hobby soon became a serious part of her life. I love music, art, and Rubik's Cube. I have a funny personality. I love music because I have a violin, a flute, a recorder, and a ukulele!
Stella Jiang
Student
Hello everyone! My name is Stella, and I’m from Wahaha Bilingual School Hangzhou. I love reading; it acts like a magic key that unlocks countless different worlds and fills my mind with fresh knowledge every day. Beyond books, music flows in my veins. I have been dedicated to learning the violin for five years. The moment I finish playing a new piece perfectly, the sense of accomplishment fills me with incredible power. I especially enjoy challenging myself. For example, preparing for English speeches used to be a struggle - writing drafts was torturous! However, standing on the stage today, I realize that the sweat and effort put into the process are what truly matter and make the result shine. I’m eager to connect with all of you. Thank you!
