• Abhijeet Agrawal

  Abhijeet has spent years working on India’s power sector—managing grids, integrating renewable energy, and restoring electricity during natural disasters that affected millions. At the Ministry of Power, Central Electricity Authority, India he has led large-scale infrastructure projects and policy reforms, collaborating with institutions such as the World Bank and ADBI, Tokyo. He represented India at the World Energy Congress 2024 in Morocco and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Economics as an IMF / JISPA Scholar at the International University of Japan.

• Dang Thi Thu Thao

  Thao is a business development specialist with more than six years experience in marketing, business development and cross-border operations across Vietnam and South Korea. Her work spans the cosmetics, e-commerce, where she has focused on customer growth, market expansion, and building sustainable revenue models in international environments. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In parallel with her corporate work, Thao built an independent digital presence as a finance and economic content creator, growing a YouTube channel followed by thousands of young Vietnamese professionals interested in markets, global business, and economic systems. Building on this combination, she is pursuing graduate study as MEXT scholar in DX to broaden her understanding of digital transformation and how technology shapes modern markets.

• Jaya Kala Rai

  Jaya is a dedicated public service professional committed to gender equality. Growing up in a small village in Nepal, she strongly believes in building a more equitable world. Over the past ten years, she has worked across various ministries, resolving citizenship issues faced by women in administrative offices and supporting female migrant domestic workers at the Department of Foreign Employment. Rooted in a diverse community, she respects all values, cultures, and belief systems, yet firmly believes that no tradition should justify gender-based discrimination. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at the International University of Japan, combining local experience with global perspectives to rethink, rebuild, and rise together.

• Naveendradass Subramanian

  Naveen works at the intersection of international education, student mobility, and career outcomes. With extensive experience engaging with international students across multiple education systems, he has closely observed how global education shapes aspirations, decisions, and long-term trajectories. Naveen’s work focuses on understanding the gap between what international education promises and what students often experience after graduation. Drawing on cross-country perspectives, he examines how policy, institutional structures, and skills preparation influence student outcomes beyond borders. Through research, advising, and engagement with diverse student communities, Naveen advocates for a more ethical and outcome-oriented approach to international education—one that prioritizes purpose, preparation, and long-term pathways over rankings and short-term incentives.

• Rozina Akter

  Rozina Akter is a Rohingya human rights advocate and graduate student whose work focuses on identity, statelessness, and access to education. Born in a refugee camp and denied legal identity from birth, she grew up navigating systems that required her to hide who she was simply to attend school. Despite these barriers, she pursued education as a form of resistance and survival. Rozina is the first woman from a Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh to complete higher education and continue graduate studies abroad. Her journey from statelessness to the global stage reflects both personal resilience and the structural failures that continue to affect millions of displaced people worldwide. Through research, advocacy, and lived testimony, she challenges the normalization of identity denial and draws attention to the human cost of silence. At TEDx, Rozina speaks not as a symbol, but as a voice, reminding the world that identity is not a privilege, but a fundamental human right.

• Sreejith Ammanathil

  Sreejith Ammanathil works at the intersection of technology, marketing, and human behavior, with a strong interest in how digital platforms quietly shape the way people think, feel, and make decisions. With a background in engineering and management, he holds a Master of Science degree in Information Systems and Management from Marist University, USA, where he developed an understanding of data-driven systems and digital ecosystems. He is currently pursuing an MBA at the International University of Japan, where his academic focus on digital transformation, global business, and marketing. Having lived, studied, and worked across different cultural environments, Sreejith brings a cross-cultural and global perspective to understanding how algorithms influence identity, attention, and choice. Through his TEDx talk, Sreejith invites the audience to reflect on a critical question of the digital age: whether social media platforms simply reflect who we are, or quietly shape who we become.

• Steven Lucas Ngalya

  Steven Lucas Ngalya is a Tanzanian practitioner in private sector engagement and economic diplomacy, with a strong foundation in public relations and international affairs. Currently pursuing his master’s degree, Steven brings over seven years of experience in public communication, stakeholder engagement, and global cooperation. As a Public Relations Officer at the Tanzania National Chamber of Commerce, he has led national media strategies and trade promotion initiatives. His background includes diplomatic support roles and academic instruction in communication and interpersonal skills at the National College of Tourism. Fluent in Swahili, English, and French with emerging proficiency in Japanese Steven is a passionate advocate for inclusive dialogue and sustainable international partnerships. At TEDx, Steven delivers his talk, “Generation Rethink: Slowing Down to Move Forward,” a compelling call to reimagine the pace and purpose of progress in today’s hyper-accelerated world.
