He is the author of the acclaimed book Blir du ledsen om jag dör?, a deeply personal story rooted in his experiences working with young people in Malmö, which has also been adapted for film. Tareq Taylor
TV chef, author & entrepreneur
Tareq Taylor is one of Sweden’s most recognized chefs, restaurateurs and cookbook authors. With sixteen cookbooks and a career spanning restaurants, entrepreneurship and some of Sweden’s most-watched television programs, he has spent decades exploring how food shapes culture, identity and human connection. Based in Malmö, Taylor runs the restaurant Kockeriet and has received several major Swedish distinctions, including two Kristallen television awards. His work has also taken him beyond the kitchen, exploring family heritage, migration and the stories carried through food. At TEDxMalmö, he brings this experience into a wider conversation about what happens when food becomes more than something we eat — and instead becomes a way of understanding one another.
