• Haofeng "Fish" Yu

  Haofeng "Fish" Yu is new to Boston and new to the Winsor community. After relocating from Houston with his younger daughter in August, he has been rethinking a familiar idea: the grass is greener somewhere else. In his talk, Fish shares how change, distance, and everyday effort shape where - and how - we grow.

• Leela Uppaluri

  Leela is a senior at The Winsor School and is from Newton, MA. She is a Varsity Crew Captain and serves as Editor-in-Chief of her school newspaper, The Banner. Having worked across adaptive fitness and summer programs to support youth and adults with disabilities, she sees herself as an advocate for disability acceptance. She founded a Para (adaptive) Rowing Workshop at Community Rowing, Inc. and her writing on neurodiversity has been featured in The Washington Post and The New York Times. Leela is committed to creating communities where people of all abilities can thrive.

• Liana Min

  Liana is a senior at The Winsor School from Brookline, MA. At school, she’s involved in student government, music, and cultural affinity groups. Outside of Winsor, Liana is a proud member of the Boston Children’s Chorus and National Director of The Lotus Project. A NYT-game-lover and Olivia-Dean-superfan, Liana is so excited to share her TEDx talk this February.

• Nadia Patel

  Nadia Patel is a freshman at Winsor from Weston, MA. She is a driven student with passions for public speaking, squash, poetry, and baking. Nadia regularly performs at open mics, including events hosted by GrubStreet, where she shares her writing and embraces opportunities for self-expression. She is also committed to advocacy, having banned the sale of fur in several towns.

• Sophie Chan

  Sophie is a Junior at Winsor from Needham. She has a passion for research and writing and does so as a criminal justice and foreign policy analyst with a youth institute. In her free time, you can find her reading, knitting, or spending time with her cat.
