Redefining Value: People, Purpose, and Possibility is a celebration and a provocation: it asks us to look beyond ledger lines and market share and to see the lost, the local, and the human as the very engines of tomorrow’s worth. On the TEDxMDIM stage, we will bring together voices that turn everyday labor into design, tradition into trade, and empathy into enterprise. Expect storytellers who weave business sense into silken threads, social innovators who turn terracotta into a global brand, policy thinkers who create markets that include rather than exclude, and leaders who measure success by the lives they lift. Each talk will be a bridge between craft and commerce, between profit and purpose, and between ambition and responsibility. This theme is for everyone who believes that economic progress must be humane, for students learning to lead with conscience, for entrepreneurs seeking sustainable scale, and for communities that want their heritage to flourish rather than fade. We won’t only inspire; we will hand listeners practical lenses and small, brave steps to translate ideas into action: a new product idea, a more equitable supply chain, a policy nudge, or a personal choice that shifts outcomes. By the end of the day, the audience will leave with a simple conviction: true value is created when people are honored, purpose guides strategy, and possibilities are imagined for all, not just a few. This is a call to revalue the world we build together.

She founded Medit8, a wellness platform offering breathwork, sound healing, Yoga Nidra, and practices that bring emotional balance and inner clarity to individuals and organizations. To protect and modernize India’s cultural wisdom, she created Hind Social, a digital network translating timeless traditions for younger generations. As Co-Chair of the Health Vertical at Young Indians (Yi), she champions holistic well-being, conscious leadership, and purpose-driven living.

    Saikat Panda is a social impact entrepreneur and the founder of Socialys Evidentia Global Consulting. This organization supports nonprofits with practical systems for grant management, donor engagement, compliance, and impact communication. He is also building the 1st Global Nonprofit Leadership Academy, a learning platform designed to equip nonprofit teams with the skills and confidence needed to manage resources, collaborate effectively, and grow sustainably. Saikat currently serves as a development specialist at Enlace Chicago and a member of the affiliate board of the Leukemia Research Foundation, USA. He has been selected to join upcoming cohorts of the Giving Project (Crossroads Fund) and the Change Collective in the United States, both focused on developing leaders rooted in equity and community-driven action, & hosts The Nonprofit Blueprint Podcast

A proud alumnus of IHM Taratala, Kolkata, he began his career with the Taj in Mumbai and has since contributed across iconic properties, including Taj Coromandel (Chennai), Taj Palace (New Delhi), Taj Bengal (Kolkata), and Taj Aurangabad. For 42 years, he has been an integral part of the Taj family and now heads TajSATS Kolkata, the renowned air-catering division of IHCL. Deeply committed to hospitality education, he has served on the Board of Governors of IHM Kolkata and is a distinguished Fellow of the IIHM International College of Distinguished Fellows. Passionate about mentoring young professionals, Shekhar continues to inspire the next generation of hospitality leaders.
