  • Ashmita Rao

    Ashmita Rao takes the stage at TEDx to explore The Art of Doing through the lens of authenticity. In her upcoming talk, she challenges the audience to consider a simple but profound question: what would you pursue if no one were watching? Drawing on real-life examples, personal experiences, and insights from psychology, Ashmita promises to uncover why following what truly excites us can transform not only our choices, but the way we approach challenges and growth. With her signature blend of storytelling, reflection, and inspiration, she invites students and lifelong learners to pause, reflect, and rethink what it means to do something authentically. Ashmita is passionate about pursuing mechanical engineering, driven by curiosity and a love for problem-solving. Outside the classroom, she channels her creativity through music. She plays keyboard and guitar and also enjoys traveling and learning new languages.

    Meet Atiksh Swarup, a 16 year-old young leader with a voice that demands attention. He navigates life with curiosity and confidence, unafraid to oppose societal norms and engage in thought provoking conversations. Whether leading debates at GIIS MUN or the GIIS Law Summit, Atiksh doesn’t just speak, he captivates, leaving a mark on every room he enters. With a mind equally drawn to the intricacies of jurisprudence and the thrill of finance, he’s on a bold path toward Law, ready to leave his mark wherever he goes. Off the stage and out of the spotlight, his grace flows through over a decade of adeptness through mastering classical guitar, an art of discipline and allure along with his favourite pastime being researching various political and economic landscapes worldwide.

    Meet Ditipriya Chakravarty, a young leader with a relentless drive to keep moving. Finding her way through life as a 17 year old, she hopes to convey her thoughts to encourage those around her to embrace passion, determination and integrity, values that have shaped every action she has taken till date. Her experiences motivating teams as a leader in debate events like GIIS Law Summit and GlIS Conference showcase not only her commitment to fostering meaningful conversations on global issues, but also for building connections with those around her. With a passion for law, she hopes to combine the two things most important to her in her talk on “The Art of Doing”- crafting a compelling case and motivating those around her to keep doing.

  • Dr. Alicia Salamanca Sanabria

    Dr Alicia Salamanca Sanabria is a clinical psychologist, researcher, and expert in digital mental health interventions. She specializes in designing, developing, and validating digital tools to address anxiety, depression, and sleep, while also promoting healthy lifestyle habits. Dr. Alicia has developed culturally adapted solutions to support accessibility to diverse communities. Drawing on experience across both academia and industry, Dr. Alicia has been at the forefront of harnessing technology to transform mental health care.

  • Dr. Ian Chew

    Dr. Ian Chew is the founder of Greenie Web, Asia’s first company pioneering low-carbon computer code. Recognized globally for his work in decarbonizing the digital world, Mr. Chew has received the Forbes 30 Under 30 (Asia) award for Social Impact, and has spoken at the UN, EU, ArabLeague, and The Economist. He holds leadership positions in multiple global networks on digital sustainability, including as Chair of Smart Cities Network’s SustainabilityWorking Group, and has launched initiatives like the Global Alliance for Sustainable Digitization, which already benefits thousands worldwide. His work continues to inspire enterprises, governments, and students alike.

  • Gayatri Srinivasan

    Our next speaker is our school’s Head of Science, Biology, and Environmental Systems & Societies, Ms. Gayatri Srinivasan. Having been part of our community for over 13 years, she is one of the most loved and respected teachers in our school. Her classes go beyond textbooks—sparking curiosity, encouraging critical thinking, and inspiring students to see the world through the lens of science. She is committed to making science education not only informative but transformative. Today, she brings to TEDx the same passion and vision she shares in her classroom every day, inviting us all to reimagine how science can empower the next generation.

  • Jit Papneja

    A distinguished leader in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and business transformation. Mr. Jit Papneja is an accomplished Senior Data Analytics and AI Global Leader with over 26 years of experience, driving profitable growth at world-class organizations including Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Bayer, Mondelez, Cadbury, and Reynolds American, where he served as Vice President and Head of Data Analytics. Throughout his career, he has pioneered cutting-edge analytics and AI capabilities across regions spanning India, Singapore, and the United States. His outstanding contributions have earned him recognition as one of the ‘Top 50 Data Analytics Leaders’ in 2022 and the prestigious ‘Researcher of the Year’ award in 2017. Mr. Papneja is also a noted author, having published two influential books on Data Analytics and AI.

  • Parth Khurana

    Currently serving our nation on the frontline of safety and emergency response, Mr. Khurana is a firefighter at Paya Lebar Fire Station. Beyond his vital service, he is a dedicated educator and aspiring entrepreneur who founded and tutors at pHive, an educational platform that prepares students for various examinations. Furthermore, his commitment to service extends to aiding the visually impaired through technology and research in the field of human-computer interaction. After completing his National Service as a firefighter, Parth looks forward to studying computers at university.

  • Siti Nur Sarah Annuar

    Ms. Siti Nur Sarah Annuar is an inspiring figure in Singapore’s youth landscape. She serves with the Seletar-Serangoon Youth Network, has been a YSEALI Academic Fellow, and is a strong advocate for youth empowerment, culture, and community engagement. Through her work, she brings together young people to build stronger connections, foster leadership, and create real impact in society.

  • Tania Mukherjee

    Ms. Tania Mukherjee is an acclaimed actor, director, and producer, deeply engaged in Singapore’s arts scene for over 20 years. She has starred in award-winning films like Tashi, directed the hit comedy Run For YourWife, and performed in acclaimed plays such as Constellations. Fluent in three languages, Ms. Mukherjee has bridged cultures through her art and carved a space for diverse stories in theatre and film. Her journey is as multifaceted as her craft – from completing a Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences, to being a mindfulness practitioner, to championing new playwrights in Singapore. Ms Mukherjee embodies resilience, versatility, and creativity in equal measure.
