  Aaryan Shrinath’s story starts with a simple childhood dream of becoming Spider-Man. Then, an architect. Then a film director. And then a musician. Superhero, architect, director, musician… if you’re thinking “this guy can’t make up his mind”, you’d probably be right. At first, he too saw them as random phases, until a moment of reflection revealed a single, powerful thread connecting them all. Through this, Aaryan challenges us to listen more closely to the dreams of the young–in both ourselves and in others–and to protect the creativity they contain.

After creating his own algorithm to evaluate stocks, he began to question a fundamental paradox: as AI gets smarter, what unique values do we as humans retain? Aryan guides us to his broader vision for a future, where technology elevates humans through creativity and compassion.

  Surely, all of us have been tempted by a shortcut – the promise of an easy win without the hard work? Marianna Kuznetsova began questioning this instinct after a childhood fueled by sugar-free candy led her to investigate the complex story that few nutritional labels ever tell. In her talk, she unravels the surprising science behind artificial sweeteners, from confused brain chemistry to their long-term impact on our health, reminding us that true growth requires more than just a sweet, easy answer. Marianna is in Grade 11 and she offers a view that is not sugar-coated.

• Nur Syahidah Alim

  Guest Speaker - Paralympian Archer representing Singapore

  Nur Syahidah Alim, born with diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy, has never let her condition stand in the way of greatness. Despite the challenges of stiff lower limbs, she became a world champion para archer and a beacon of inspiration. Since 2015, Syahidah has proudly represented Singapore, first making her mark at the 8th ASEAN Para Games, where she won two gold medals in the Individual Compound Women and Compound Mixed Team Opens. In 2016, she made history as Singapore’s first female archer at the Paralympic Games in Rio. Her crowning achievement came in 2019 when she clinched gold at the World Para Archery Championship. In 2023, she won a historic silver medal at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, followed by an exhilarating shoot-off victory to become Asian Para Champion at the Asian Para Championships in Bangkok.

• Vedaant Atreya

  Vedaant Atreya has spent years staring at 64 squares, chasing dreams that were once as sharp as a checkmate and now, like many of ours, feels a little blurrier. From a childish fascination of the way a simple checkerboard can produce so many possibilities, to striving to earn a spot in the elite school team, The Knights, Vedaant has lived and breathed the game. But as time passed, the crowded chess room thinned, and the passion began to wane. This led him to ask, Why do we stop caring about the things we once loved? Vedaant explores what happens when our dreams start to fade, through the lens of one of his most challenging matches.
