Alolika Sinha
Dr. Sinha is a conservation biologist, and her work focuses on building science-based evidence to reverse biodiversity loss, and promote coexistence. Her conservation efforts tend to be bottom-up approaches and solutions to protect biodiversity, restore ecosystems and combat climate change using nature-based solutions, through engagement of local communities and other stakeholders. For her PhD research she studied how hog deer responds to different habitat and anthropogenic factors. She has been working on restoring grassland ecosystems by managing invasive alien plants, and assisted regeneration to safeguard threatened species and mitigate climate crisis. In addition to this, she works on facilitating human elephant coexistence through multi-pronged approach of habitat revival, and engagement with multistakeholder.
Anushree Singh
Anushree Singh is a Grade 11 student of The Assam Valley School. She has led several groups and events in her school. She discusses the power of self-love in building a strong personality.
Jignasa Bora
She is a Grade 9 student who believes in effective habits and shares her thoughts on how to overcome self-judgement if one has to do well in life and achieve life goals and targets. She participates actively in adventurous and outdoor activities of the school including Debating, Sports and International Award for Young People.
Mita Nangia Goswami
Ms. Mita Nangia Goswami is an educationist and development professional with over two decades of experience in gender, biodiversity conservation, and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). She currently serves as the ISC Coordinator for English at The Assam Valley School and is the President of the Tezpur Mahila Samiti, a historic women’s organization founded in 1919. Previously, she was Director of Environment Education at WWF India, where she launched the Wild Wisdom Quiz and led national-level training for educators under CBSE, NCERT, and SCERTs. Her international work includes consulting for the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Mongolia, supporting ESD initiatives with the Ministries of Education and Environment.She has also served as Vice President of IPPAI and as a judge at the District Consumer court in Tezpur. A published writer and member of the North-East Writers’ Forum, her work has appeared in Penguin’s First Proof anthology. Her interests include reading, writing, meditating, cooking, music, films, travel and pottering around the house.
Urvee Rathi
Urvee Rathi is a Grade 12 student and Academics Captain. She underlines the role of discipline in her life- personal, friendships and in leadership. She stresses upon how discipline changed her whole life and helped her achieve her ambitions and dreams.
Vidhi Chopra
She is a Grade 11 student who shares her thoughts on faking confidence until one acquires it. Confidence is a rare skill and one should not hesitate to adopt a 'fake it till you make it' attitude in order to evolve into a confident person. She has good leadership skills and confidently leads several groups and events in her school.
