• Amar Neupane

  Writer

  Mr. Neupane is one of Nepal’s most celebrated contemporary novelists, best known for his profound storytelling that captures the emotional and social landscapes of Nepali life. His acclaimed novel Seto Dharti, which won the prestigious Madan Puraskar in 2069 B.S. (2012 A.D.), established him as a powerful literary voice of his generation. Neupane’s works often delve into themes of love, loss, identity, and the silent struggles of marginalized voices, particularly women. Through his evocative prose and deep empathy, he has redefined the way Nepali readers connect with their own culture and history. Beyond Seto Dharti, his notable works include Karodaun Kasturi, Paniko Gham, and Nathiya, each exploring unique facets of human emotion and societal transformation. His writing not only enriches Nepali literature but also provokes meaningful conversations on gender, tradition, and social change.

• Isha Sharma Gauli

  Software Developer

  Ms.Gauli is a Software Engineer and the founder of Tech4AllNepal, an initiative focused on bridging the digital and educational divide in rural Nepal. A graduate in Computer Science from Deerwalk Institute of Technology, Isha’s work aims to make technology accessible to underserved communities. She and her team at Tech4AllNepal are developing Guru Aama, an AI-enabled projector for offline digital education in remote areas. She has additionally led multiple ICT education campaigns across Nepal. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to using technology as a tool for equity, empowerment, and lasting impact.

• Preeti Bista

  Senior Clinical Embryologist

  Preeti Bista is a distinguished clinical embryologist and leader in fertility care in Nepal. With over a decade of experience in healthcare and nearly nine years dedicated to infertility-medicine and assisted reproductive technology, Based in Kathmandu, Preeti serves as Senior Clinical Embryologist at multiple infertility care centres including Angel Fertility Clinic and NIFLC Maya IVF. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science from Tribhuvan University, followed by a Master’s degree from Pokhara University. She then specialised in clinical embryology with advanced courses including certification by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Preeti is a member of professional bodies such as the Indian Fertility Society, the Fertility Society of Nepal (FESON) and SART (Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology).

• Rishav Das

  Youth Activist

  Mr. Das is a youth activist, biotechnologist, and development professional with 8+ years of experience in civic engagement, sustainability, and leadership. He is the Founder & President of Youth Activism Nepal (YAN), a youth-led nonprofit working on environmental conservation, SDGs, and youth empowerment, with impactful initiatives such as Project Smile (oral hygiene awareness in rural Nepal), Project Swasti (Mithila cultural murals on women’s empowerment), and Project Repurpose (plastic waste management under Students For Liberty’s Green Liberty Initiative). Rishav also serves as the Regional Coordinator for Leadership Development in South Asia at Students For Liberty, where he has mentored over 100 young leaders and organized flagship programs like The Liberty Retreat (TLR). His Objectivism journey since 2020 has included delivering lectures at the John Galt School and earning the prestigious Prometheus Fellowship (world’s top 50 leaders in liberty).

• Shusma Barali

  Journalist | Activist

  She is a writer, journalist, and activist whose work critically explores the intersections of caste, gender, sexuality, and social justice in Nepal. With a background in Journalism and Mass Communication, she has contributed impactful stories to leading media outlets such as BBC Media Action’s Sajha Sawal, Republica, and Himal Media. Her commitment to equity extends beyond the newsroom, having worked with organizations like The Asia Foundation and Voice of Women to advance social inclusion and empowerment. Her short film, Beyond the Language, captures the layered struggles of Dalit women navigating identity, language, and caste politics. An IVLP 2024 Fellow, she continues to foster dialogue and awareness on the complex interconnections between caste, gender, sexuality, class, democracy, and sustainability—amplifying marginalized voices and challenging societal boundaries through her creative and journalistic pursuits.
