  • Dr. Umar Aminu Mohammed

    Ecologist and Environmental Biologist

    Dr. Umar Aminu Mohammed, PhD, is an accomplished ecologist and environmental biologist whose research centers on the intricate relationships between ecosystems and climate change, with a focus on regions susceptible to environmental degradation. As a seasoned academic, he has observed firsthand the transformative impacts of global warming-driven by rampant deforestation, unsustainable land use, and fossil fuel emissions-on landscapes, livelihoods, and the future of our planet. At Sa'adu Zungur University Bauchi, he spearheaded a campus-wide initiative that successfully planted over 1,000 trees, contributing to a broader movement to combat carbon emissions through local reforestation. Through his work, he bridges global climate science with grassroots action, leveraging real data, lived experiences, and hopeful solutions to demonstrate that meaningful change begins in our communities.

  • Dr. Zinat Suleiman Mohammed

    Dr. Zinat Suleiman Mohammed Senior Lecturer & Head, Department of Biochemistry, Sa’adu Zungur University, Bauchi . From her early days at Airforce Primary School, Kano, to earning a PhD in Biochemistry from Bayero University, Dr. Zinat’s journey is one of excellence, growth, and passion for science and education. With 80+ undergrad and 10+ postgrad students mentored, numerous publications, and memberships in top scientific bodies like NSBMB, NSN & NIFST—she’s not just shaping minds, she’s shaping the future of biochemistry in Nigeria!   • Hassana Shehu Magaji

    Public Health Practitioner + Poet

    Hassana Shehu Magaji -Affectionately known as Hassy. Hassy is a multifaceted personality. A Nigerian public health practitioner, passionate poet, a motovational speaker, and a proud voice of the Nigerian spirit. From honoring the sacrifices of our armed forces to inspiring youth through the power of poetry, that earned her a special place in the heart of many. Known as the 'Nigerian military poet' Hassy uses her spoken-word poetry to advocate for peace, security and national unity in Nigeria. Through her art, Hassy champions the cultural heritage of Northern Nigeria, promoting local traditions while inspiring positive change and national development. Her commitment to community engagement and public health education has made her a respected voice in her community. She continues to lend her voice to causes that matter. A proud alumna of Sa'adu Zungur University, Bauchi, Hassana is not only a performer but a mentor, guiding the next generation of poetic talent across Nigeria.

  • Mohammed Shamsiddeen Jibrin

    University Lecturer and Field Agronomist

    Mohammed Shamsiddeen Jibrin is a lecturer with Crop Science Department in the Faculty of Agriculture Bauchi State University. As a lecturer in the field of Plant breeding and genetics He has taught and supervised number of students in this area at both graduate and post graduate level. He has also taught at many tertiary Institution in Bauchi State and beyond. Mohammed as a field agronomist with notable agricultural organizations/companies has taught and guided farmers on the best agronomic practices of crops that has led to increase in the hectarage of land cultivated and yield obtained by farmers in so many states in Nigeria. Success is the watch word for him. Mohammed knows that excellence is a journey, not simple a destination. This has propelled him to learn, teach, coach, train, develop and inspire thousands of youths and the agrarian.

  • Suwaiba Tukur Sa'ad

    Student & Poet

    Suwaiba Tukur Sa'ad is student of Physiology at Sa'adu Zungur University, Bauchi. A gifted poet and spoken word artist from Bauchi state Nigeria, Suwaiba uses her voice to inspire, educate, and raise awareness on key societal issues. Performing in both English and Hausa, she passionately addresses themes such as youth empowerment, identity, leadership, and cultural heritage. She has performed at events and other creative platforms, where her words resonate deeply especially with young audiences through honest, emotional, and thought-provoking expression. To suwaiba, poetry is more than art it’s a powerful tool for creative activism, reflection, and building community through meaningful dialogue.

  • Umar Grema

    Social Innovator

    Umar Grema is a pioneering social innovator and founder of CIATECH Africa, a tech and innovation hub based in Maiduguri, Nigeria. Passionate about harnessing technology for social good, Umar leads efforts to empower youth, women, and underserved communities across the Lake Chad region through locally driven digital solutions. At CIATECH, Umar has championed groundbreaking projects such as Kanuri Al, Africa's first artificial intelligence tool in the Kanuri language designed to preserve indigenous knowledge while promoting digital inclusion. CIATECH also runs incubation programs and STEM initiatives aimed at bridging the digital divide in conflict-affected and rural areas. Umar is deeply engaged in humanitarian and peacebuilding work, having served as West Africa Co-Lead for the Global Indigenous Youth Summit on Climate Change, and as an advocate for child protection, women's rights, and climate action.

Her dedication to humanity and social impact has led her to actively participate in various foundations focused on creativity and supporting the less privileged.She has championed education, empowerment, and community development. A versatile and dynamic individual, Ummusalma is committed to reshaping and improving society through innovation and advocacy. She finds inspiration in adventure, arts, and nature, which fuel both her creativity and her vision for a better world
