We believe that health is more than the absence of illness - it is the foundation for creativity, learning, and resilience. This year’s theme is health, understood in its broadest sense—from mental wellbeing and nutrition to physical fitness and digital wellness. Through inspiring talks and personal stories, the event will offer fresh perspectives on taking charge of one’s own health and supporting the well-being of others.

  • Allegra Gray

    Student

    Allegra Gray is a Grade 11 GESS student who is passionate about theatre and its profound impact on mental health. She has extensive experience with theatrical performances, starting her journey on stage since as early as kindergarten. With a strong repertoire of musicals and plays under her belt, she stars as a lead character in this year’s school musical. Through the TEDx Youth platform, she aims to explore and offer a distinctive perspective on how theatre has a positive and transformative impact on mental wellbeing.

  • Benjamin Goh

    Student

    Benjamin is an aspiring designer/engineer with skills in user experience & branding, computed-aided design and electronics. Previously, Benjamin has spearheaded the remodeling of an elementary school maker space and is currently developing an open-world app.

  • Duc Anh Ngo

    Student

    Duc is a Grade 12 student from Vietnam with strong interests in finance, sports, and music. Beyond academics, he has taken on leadership roles in service projects and entrepreneurial ventures, driven by a passion for creating a meaningful impact. He plans to use the TEDx platform to emphasize the importance of how controlling your internal mental health can lead to external success.

  • Heathe Hanlon Billingslea

    Student

    Heathe Hanlon Billingslea is a student at GESS passionate about the importance of sports for youth and mental health. With experience in participating in sports his whole life, across different cultures from the US, to Mexico, across the sea to Bangladesh and now Singapore, they bring unique insights into this idea. His aim at exploring the importance of mental health in sports for the youth, has thus been able to be brought to light at GESS's TEDx Youth.

  • Keoni Shum Kyle

    Student

    Intrigued by the world of sport, Keoni is a 17-year-old student at GESS who combines his passion for football with a strong interest in sports science, performance, and leadership,. Driven by a deep curiosity about health and fitness, he seeks to inspire those around him to embrace a more balanced and energised lifestyle. Through his TED Talk, Keoni aims to encourage others to begin their journey toward a healthier future, one small step at a time.

  • Kiera Teng

    Kiera is a Grade 10 student from Taiwan, with strong interests in psychology, art, and design. Beyond her studies, she enjoys making paper models and doing hip hop in her free time.

  • Kyorei Eto

    Student

    Motivated by a desire to improve systems that affect people’s lives, particularly where health and fairness intersect, Kyorei has diverse interests in the biological world and post-revisionist history, with a particular interest in how systems like antitrust law shape society. He strives to understand and reinterpret issues to bring about meaningful change. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is a dedicated guitarist and multi-instrumentalist in various school bands, and is currently leading a student-initiated music group that performs community-focused music at volunteer events.

  • Sofia Amorim Fuchs

    Student

    Sofia Amorim Fuchs is a Grade 10 GESS student from Brazil with a passion of Neurodiversity and the Performing Arts. She aims to discuss Neurodiversity and the importance of understanding neurodivergent individuals through this TEDx Youth talk.
