It’s the courage to act, to take that first uncertain step, that turns dreams into reality. “Vision to Action” celebrates the journey from imagination to implementation — from seeing what could be, to doing what must be done. This theme challenges thinkers, creators, and doers to move beyond ideas and ignite change in their communities, industries, and personal lives. It’s about bridging the gap between inspiration and impact — between what we dream and what we build. At TEDx, we believe every action begins with a vision, and every vision deserves a chance to act. This is a call to innovators, dreamers, and risk-takers: share your story of how vision became movement, how imagination met persistence, and how you turned your “what if” into “what is.” From Vision to Action — because the future isn’t waiting.

  • Dr. Arash Nemat

    University Professor-Scholar

    Dr. Nemat, originally from Kabul, ranked first in Afghanistan’s nationwide university entrance exam (Kankor) in 2004 and entered the Faculty of Medicine at Kabul University. Alongside his studies, he co-led Raufi Educational Center, which became a hub of learning for thousands of Afghan students. After graduation, he joined Kabul Medical University as a lecturer and later earned a CSC Scholarship to study at Nanfang Medical University in China, where he completed his specialization, Master’s degree, and Chinese language studies. In 2019, he was awarded the title of Best International Student of the university. His academic contributions include publishing over 50 scientific papers in prestigious international journals. Continuing his journey, he moved to Karolinska Institute in Sweden – the world’s 6th top-ranked medical university – where he is currently pursuing his PhD research.

  • Shahab Sharifi

    University Professor- Social Activist- Renewable Energy Expert- Entrepreneur

    Shahab Sharifi is an energy engineer and academic, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Kabul University’s Faculty of Engineering. Specializing in renewable energy, his work focuses on solving energy challenges through innovative, research based solutions. He has published international research articles with major global publishers, including MDPI and Elsevier. In addition to academia, Sharifi has completed advanced training with international institutions, strengthening his expertise in entrepreneurship, strategic planning, and green investment. Beyond academic work, he has demonstrated strong leadership as Head of TEDxKabulUniversity, where he helped inspire over 200,000 people by promoting innovative ideas and amplifying Afghan voices globally. He has also led advocacy and humanitarian initiatives focused on education, fundraising, and community support, and has received awards from KU (Student of the year), Innovative Awards from the AKH and HultPrize Foundation.

  • Solaiman Baari

    With a strong academic background in Economics and Finance, and years of experience teaching, mentoring, and inspiring young minds, Mr. Bari has been at the forefront of creating opportunities for growth and learning. His work spans across universities, international organizations, and community-driven initiatives—making education, empowerment, and humanitarian service central to his mission. Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Bari is a passionate educator, entrepreneur, and community leader who has dedicated himself to uplifting others through knowledge, motivation, and social impact projects. From organizing large-scale motivational programs to spearheading charitable initiatives for families in need, his journey reflects resilience, leadership, and a deep commitment to positive change.
