• Adarsh Mandyan

  Adarsh Mandhyan is a grade 12th student at Sharada Mandir HSS, who has always been curious about the deeper ‘whys’ behind life’s unexpected turns. His hunger to understand the world, fuelled by his curiosity, has not only helped him excel academically, but has also shaped his creative journey with two independent short films to his name and a heart full of cinema, along with a strong inclination towards the field of social sciences. Adarsh believes in the power of stories, both lived and told. Today he is here to share a story for you to live about unexpected changes in his life which challenged his perceptions on destiny, change, resistance and growth. In this talk, inspired by his own journey, Adarsh explores ‘Samsara’ not as a distant spiritual concept, but as the loop of events that quietly lead us to who we’re meant to become.

• Dr. Lloyd Souza

  Dr. Lloyd De Souza is an experienced Occupational Physician and Family Doctor with over 25 years of clinical excellence. After completing his MBBS in 1998, he pursued post-graduate qualifications in Occupational & Industrial Health and Clinical Research, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of workplace and general health. A certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor by the American Heart Association and trained in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) as per the standards of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Lloyd is passionate about equipping individuals with life-saving skills. As the principal trainer of his organisation's dynamic First Aid and BLS workshops, he brings practical knowledge and infectious enthusiasm to every session—whether conducted in a corporate office or during a team retreat. With over two decades of experience in diverse healthcare settings—from ICUs to home visits—Dr. Lloyd has built a reputation for compassionate, patient-centered care. He currently consults and manages Dr. Tito’s Health Care Centre in Calangute, Goa, and remains committed to delivering holistic "whole-person care" that addresses both physical and psychosocial aspects of health. Outside the clinic, Dr. Lloyd leads an active and creative life. He is a long-distance runner, motorcyclist, and a proud National Gold Medalist in International Cha Cha Ballroom Dancing. He is also an active member of the ICG Toastmasters Club, honing his communication and leadership skills. Whether in a consultation room or on the dance floor, Dr. Lloyd De Souza brings energy, precision, and a deep commitment to excellence.

• Dr. Subodh Kerkar

  Subodh Kerkar is a renowned Indian contemporary artist and sculptor, best known for his innovative and thought-provoking works that often explore themes of ecology, history, and the ocean. Originally trained as a medical doctor, Kerkar transitioned to art in the late 1980s, bringing a unique perspective to his creative practice. He is the founder of the Museum of Goa (MOG), a prominent art space that has significantly contributed to the cultural landscape of Goa and India at large. Kerkar’s art frequently incorporates natural and found materials, and many of his installations are site-specific, engaging deeply with the geography and cultural context of the region. His work has been exhibited internationally, reflecting both a deep local engagement and a global outlook. Through his artistic vision, Subodh Kerkar continues to challenge conventions and inspire dialogue around pressing social and environmental issues.

• Gaurav Padte

  Mr. Gaurav Padte is an accomplished educator and multi-faceted individual who began his academic journey at St. Xavier's College, Mapusa, where he completed his B.A. in English Honours. He subsequently earned his M.A. in English from Goa University, and holds a B.Ed as well as an M.Ed, making him a double postgraduate in the field of education. His leadership capabilities were evident early on, having served as the President of the Students’ Council at Goa University. He has been instrumental in organising and participating in state and national-level seminars, conferences, and award functions, reflecting his deep commitment to academic and extracurricular excellence. Mr. Padte has been an active participant in the cultural domain since his college days. He has represented his institutions in monologue performances, pageants, and various music and dance competitions, earning recognition at some of the most prominent college events across Goa. Additionally, he was selected as the official mascot “Gaurdinho” for FC Goa during his student years, a role that brought him widespread recognition. His contributions extend beyond academia and the performing arts. At the age of 20, he was invited to deliver a TED Talk, which is available on YouTube, and he is well-known for his ongoing involvement in social work initiatives across Goa. A passionate music enthusiast and producer, Mr. Padte is also a multi-instrumentalist, proficient in bass guitar, lead guitar, jaw harp, and the handpan. He has released a Lo-fi album and a rap/rock album scheduled for release in late 2025. Gaurav maintains an impressive collection of musical instruments, showcasing his artistic sensibilities. In the field of education, Mr. Padte has been associated with Sharada Mandir Higher Secondary School for the past seven years. He currently serves as the Higher Secondary Coordinator and English and Mass Communications teacher. In his personal time, Mr. Padte enjoys hosting and organising events as an emcee and has organised and hosted more than 700 events over the last decade. He loves spending quality time with his family, and walking his dog.

• Nirvana Ahluwalia

  Nirvana Ahluwalia is a dynamic, multifaceted individual whose journey exemplifies a rare blend of intellect, creativity, and passion. As a professional debater, Nirvana has made a name for himself on both national and international platforms, representing his country at renowned institutions such as Harvard University, IIT Bombay, and the British Parliament. He has won numerous accolades, including Best Overall Speaker awards, solidifying his reputation as one of the most promising young voices in the global debating arena. He is also the State Ambassador for debate representing his state of Goa. Beyond debating, Nirvana is a passionate writer and a published author. He has earned international acclaim in essay writing, most notably winning Bronze in the prestigious Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition. His writing explores diverse topics with depth and insight, reflecting his intellectual curiosity and a keen understanding of the world. A lover of sports, Nirvana is the founder of his own basketball club and team, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to fostering teamwork and excellence. His achievements extend into the realm of photography, where his creative eye has earned him national awards that celebrate his ability to capture the beauty and complexity of his surroundings. Nirvana’s creativity also finds expression in the kitchen, where he loves to cook and bake, and through music, where he plays the guitar and composes melodies that resonate with his soul. His artistic endeavors reflect his belief in the power of self-expression to connect with others and explore the human experience. At his core, Nirvana is a philosopher, seeking to learn and grow through the timeless teachings of Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita. He strives to embody values of resilience, self-awareness, and wisdom, integrating these lessons into his daily life and endeavours. With his remarkable versatility and unwavering dedication to personal and intellectual growth, Nirvana Ahluwalia is a testament to the power of passion, curiosity, and the pursuit of excellence across disciplines.

• Raaghav Srivastav

  Raaghav Srivastav, an ex-student of Sharada Mandir and aspiring physicist, was an active participant in dramatics, sports and oratory competitions during his school days. He was the host of Katha Parab, the International Storytelling Festival for three years and has experience in dance as well, winning gold for the school at the International Festival, Confluence held at Lucknow in 2023. He has also been a lifelong advocate in the effort to increase recess time for students worldwide. (may or may not use)

  I am an ex student of Sharada mandir school, did my bachelors in business administration from Christ university Bangalore, worked for 2 years for Godrej properties, Mumbai and will now be pursuing my MBA from Goa institute of management. I’ve been a Toastmaster for the past 4 years and have Participated in several speech contests and have recently represented my Club and my division in Pune.
