• Faten El Ayache

  Faten is a Life Coach and a Senior Employer Relations Consultant at Carnegie Mellon University Qatar. In her talk, she will be discussing the power of self-love.

• Gordon Rule

  Professor & Area Head of Biology at Carnegie Mellon University Qatar

  Born in Ontario, Canada, Gordon Rule earned his undergraduate degree from University of Waterloo, his master's degree from Penn State, his Ph.D. from CMU, and a post-doc in chemistry from Stanford. Rule previously served on the faculty of University of Virginia School of Medicine. He has been on the faculty of the Department of Biological Sciences at CMU since 1996.

• Joud Ghalayini

  Joud Ghalayini is a student at Carnegie Mellon University Qatar. She is passionate about advocacy and is a firm believer in taking action. Joud brings important questions to mind in her talk about conforming to society and fitting in. She urges us to think about the why behind our social actions and how our insecurities can drive us.

• Muhammad Hamza Sohail

  Muhammad is a first-year student at CMUQ, who is very passionate about his NGO, FireFly. He and his team have worked hard to build awareness of mental health issues in Pakistan. His speech is on mental health and its impact on our pursuits.

• Tamara Albaja

  Clinical Pyschologist

  Tamara Albaja is working in the field of clinical and behavioural psychology. At work, she is focused on helping and empowering children and adults with mental disorders. Her talk is focused on the power of mind and perspective on human behaviour.
