This TEDx will have elements of a musical in it. The Talks will be delivered as usual, but everything in between is going to be prepared by artists of the Musical Theatre Capitol. The event will explore topics that are rarely spoken about or the ones that require amplifications. We're breaking the silence with it!

  • Aleksandra Malinowska

    Intercultural Communication Consultant

    We try to avoid stereotypes and prejudice as much as we can, but some of them are rooted so deeply in our thinking that often they appear to be just a casual cautiousness. Aleksandra Malinowska is a raising media star who confronts our thinking about Middle East and immigration. She resigned a comfortable job to build an inter-cultural communication programme - an idea that sprung to life as a result of numerous travels and familiarity with many languages. She runs a Bliski Wschód z bliska blog and attends interdisciplinary conferences as an independent research

    Teo Dumski is a theatrlcal actor and an artist of many facets. He founded Cloud Theater - a theatre in the clouds. Teo breaks the silence by showcasing the lightness and potential of a theatre of the clouds - technologically and imaginatively speaking. The fundamental aim is to create harmony between a fast-paced production with a portrayal of vivid emotions.

    Ivan Hernandez is a Business Development Consultant, Marketing & Customer Experience Strategist with several years of international experience in strategic consulting, advertising, marketing and media sectors. He is the Founder of The Digital Loop, a boutique consultancy specializing in digital marketing, customer experience design and innovation strategy.

  • Iza Moczarna-Pasiek

    Artist

    Iza Moczarna-Pasiek is a feminist and an artist who uses her work as a medium through which she challenges existing stereotypes regarding womanhood. She is the author of Poland’s first ever Calendar of Breast Cancer Survivors, as well various other feminist projects in Poland and abroad. During TEDxWroclaw The Musical, she will be sharing with us her fears about aging and the creative project which inspired her to come to terms with it all.

    Jakub Kuś is is an internet psychologist from University of Social Sciences and Humanities who is conducting research on the impact of new technologies on human morality. His main scientific goal is to find out in which situations and psychological circumstances the internet makes us more egoistic, relativistic and less empathetic.

Marta Sochocka, an immunologist and author of several popular science publications about health, will share with you the untold story about sugar.

Michał’s goal is to change the face of rehabiltation, by providing personalized and situation-specific exercises for patients. In Silicon Valley the company was recognized for being one of the best startups in the world. The technology used by them has received over 20 national and international awards. Michał will be sharing with us his works and the way in which robotic technology improves medical rehabilitation.

    Olga Malinkiewicz is a star amongst young Polish enterpreneurs and scientists. In her work she is addressing the very real problem of energy sustainability. Olga is the CTO and co-founder of Saule Technologies, Polish start-up company, one of the global forerunners in the commercialization of thin-film perovskite solar cells.

  • Robert Biedroń

    Mayor of Słupsk

    Robert Biedroń is a persona who doesn't need to be introduced. He is a politician whose mission is to convince Poles that there is a possibility for new politics. Currently he is the mayor of the city of Słupsk. He holds a PhD in political science and is an EU expert for antidiscrimination. He is also a human rights protection consultant in international organizations and a founder of the Campaign Against Homophobia. Former member of Polish parliament.

  • Wojtek Cichoń

    Slam Poet

    Wojtek Cichoń broke the silence with his fresh rap beats. Later on the music stopped but Wojtek continued to wow his audience with word compositions as one of the first Polish slam poets. Since 2003, he has been presenting his spoken word on the stages of Poland and the world (Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Great Britain, Hungary, France, Spain, Ukraine, China, Japan, Iceland to name a few…). For the last two years Wojtek has been breaking the silence by his bay to the moon, with putting his two children to bed.
