今日世界では、５千万人の人々が強制的に故郷から避難を余儀なくされています。これは第二次世界大戦以降見られなかった規模です。今現在、３百万人以上のシリア難民が、近隣諸国に避難所を探し求めています。レバノンでは、難民の半分が子どもで、そのうち学校に通っているのはわずか20％です。国連難民高等弁務官事務所のメリッサ・フレミングが、難民キャンプは自分たちの故郷を再建するために必要なスキルを身につけることができる癒やしの場所であるべきだと呼びかけます。
