Factory farming inflicts immense, largely unseen suffering on billions of animals each year, with pigs unable to turn around and male chicks discarded alive. Despite industry efforts to keep these conditions hidden, growing public awareness and technological advances are fueling change. More than 200 billion animals are killed annually, outnumbering every human who has ever lived. Moral progress demands society refuse to tolerate these cruelties and push for real reform.
