인간의 수명 연장을 위한 최근의 노력은 모순적입니다. 젊음을 중심으로 돌아가는 사회에서 노인의 삶은 결코 녹록치 않습니다. 노인들은 의미있는 일거리를 잃고 재정 부족으로 인해 고립될 수도 있습니다. 본 강연에서 제레드 다이아몬드는 다양한 사회가 연장자를 대하는 긍정적, 부정적 태도를 살펴보고, 우리 사회가 노인들의 삶의 경험을 더 잘 활용할 것을 제안합니다.
