디자이너 알렉산드라 아우어는 세계 2차 대전이 끝날 때보다 훨씬 더 많은 경계선들이 존재한다고 말합니다. 만약에 한 쪽 벽 앞에 서 있다면, 자신도 모르게 "우리" vs "그들"의 구도를 우리 공동체의 안전이라 합리화하면서 만들고 있을지도 모른다고요. 그녀의 사회 디자인 프로젝트는 울타리로 나누어진 두 초등학교에서 진행했는데 흥미로운 결과가 나왔고, 아우어는 우리에게 편견을 부수고 우리 모두가 공통점이 있다는 사실을 인식하라 말합니다.
