I'm Fay, a freelance translator and most importantly, a TEDx enthusiast. I believe in the power of idea and endeavor to make this world a better place:)

I have a taste for many things actually. For my hobbies, I enjoy doing sports like basketball, swimming and volleyball to name just a few. Besides, I am also a freelance model, very fascinated about photo shoot and taking photos myself. I am a romanticist. I'm a music junkie, a person who has written 3 original songs. But most importantly, I am super passionate for translation. I have always been attracted by the magic of language. For me, the thing that is so magnetic to me is that, when I am doing translation, what matters is not only the translation itself, but the culture behind the language, the transaltion.

Courage and curiosity are two elements moving our world forward.

The love affair between me and TED can be traced back to almost 10 years ago. I firstly heard and watched a TED talk when I was in junior high school and since then, I have been fascinated about it. In my first year of senior high, I participated in a local TEDx event. I have to say that was a totally eye-opener. When I was a sophomore on campus, I was honored to take part in another two TEDx event, one as a translator, one as a team member.I must say, the translator one actually sparked off my passion and interest in organizing one TEDx event myself. So after a very long time preparation,after numerous sleepless nights as well as those nights I stayed up super late filling the format, reading those rules, watching previous TEDx talks, I finally got the license, and now, holding a local TEDx event for my community. This kind of experience will be the treasure of my life and I am so lucky and honored to eventually join TEDxer this big and dynamic family.
