Hello stranger, you have stumbled onto my bio! My name is Saeed Jan and I am a IB (International Baccalaureate) student at the British International School of Jeddah. I am an avid learner on an endless search for truth. Talk to me about any and everything.

Finding something worth being passionate about.

It is my firm ideology that any ambition is worth pursuing. We should not restrict ourselves to a life without opportunity, for a life lived with passion is a life worth living. No matter what field or circumstance, the pursuit of passion will derive a sense of satisfaction that is truly unrivalled.

My interest in TED began by watching a TED-Ed video on Youtube. The concept of the videos immediately captivated me, and I often binge-watched them after school. The visual aspect was quite appealing to me, but I never bothered with an actual TED talk. It was not until I watched a full TED talk in my Theory of Knowledge class did I realize that I wanted to hold my own TEDx conference. I have set up my profile and I soon hope to apply for a TEDx licence. I know that emulating the amazing experiences and ideas that are shared at a TEDx event is no easy task. Nonetheless, the idea of even coming close to it excites me. This is not just some high school project for me. I hope to give everyone that same excitement I had when I watched my first video. When that little spark of curiosity turns into a blazing inferno, there is no limit to what knowledge we can reach.

One thing that people do not know about me is that I can play the saxophone quite well. On a more serious note, many people do not know that that I debate quite well, as I only every show those skills during an MUN conference.
