Anvita Zutshi is an experienced language teacher, published author, TEDx Youth organizer, teacher- trainer and above all, a passionate educationist who has worked in various capacities in international schools throughout India and the UAE. Anvita began her professional life as a classroom teacher in one of the highly reputed schools in India. Her fascination in how students constructed their understandings and her interest in the way questions and big ideas could drive curriculum soon led to an exploration of integrative and inquiry based methodologies. This passion has become a career long focus for teaching, writing and the methodologies in which Anvita specializes are now central to curriculum framework and assessment strategies including the International Baccalaureate. Critical to Anvita’s success and understanding is her continued involvement in classroom teaching. Whether it is to demonstrate techniques, coach teachers or build her own practices, Anvita is committed to regular and ongoing work with students. Having facilitated many workshops for young teachers, enabling them to develop curriculum and programs effectively, and improve their teaching and pedagogical practices, Anvita’s style is refreshingly practical, inclusive and always connected to the real work of teaching.
