Aaron Abrahms

Grew up in Hartford, CT. Graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, then moved to NYC area where he’s remained for entire adult life. Columbia MBA. Currently lives in Larchmont. A suburban dad, owns a 2013 Toyota Sienna mini-van with sliding doors and leather seats. Married to a wonderful and understanding wife. Three children under ten who on most days—assuming good night’s sleep, adequate wi-fi coverage, and pancakes for breakfast—are pretty adorable. Professionally, has gravitated to his Hartford roots, remaining in or around the insurance industry his whole career. For past 16 years, has worked at Winged Keel Group, where he is a partner. Currently trying to play each of the top-100 ranked golf courses in the US, about which journey he writes his blog breaking10000.com, a mediocre golfer’s pursuit to shoot under 100 on the top 100 courses in America. Two highlights from this golf journey in 2016 include 1) getting paired with Bill Murray and his brother Brian Doyle-Murray for a 9-hole match, and 2) playing Augusta National. Learned how to play half a dozen chords on the guitar in 1994 and has continued to play those same chords with little-to-no progress in skill ever since.
