Samik is a guy who believes in taking small steps. Be it be his love life or his academics. Turning one stone at a time he makes his way. He can make friends easily and does look after them pretty well. He believes in the power of an idea to turn the course of history. At TED he wants to help the people, with amazing ideas, reach out to people who wish to change the world. He believes in being different in his own way. Pursuing Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at MIT, Pune. He wishes to explore and encounter new things in his life for the four years of the course. He is super excited about organizing his first event.

I'm very passionate about art on paper and the fitness of the body. I love doing sketches, paintings, and doodles. I also like going to the gym and working out every single day. These are a few things that I love very much. I do these activities for the sole purpose that I love doing them.

I believe that everyone should be passionate about something. The inner joy and happiness one feels when one does something that he/she is passionate about is something of a different level. With passion one also needs a tremendous amount of determination to have a breakthrough in that field. One needs to keep working towards their goal irrespective of the number of hurdles that comes through. Hard work with the right mindset can change everything. You definitely need to focus on the end goal but you should not lose your mind over it. You must make sure that you live the journey. Enjoy it to the fullest. Working hard is important but so is living. So keep hustling. Keep grinding. But make sure you enjoy the process.
