Bio

Born: 1971 Lives and works in London Social Choreographer / Artistic director Director of Culture Device, social choreographer, educator and curator. I have a strong interest in social dynamics and the community. This canvas is the focus of my work. I use choreographic skills, choreographic installations, performances and art interventions to explore and realise the potential for harmony and beauty in society. I work with wide range of artists, communities, social groups to create inspiring and uplifting works. Other then performances, I direct choreographic events focusing on social dynamics, manipulation and transformation of spaces. I have showed work in venues like The Royal Opera House, Whitechapel Art Gallery, Dance House, The Place and other various spaces, festivals and fashion shows. For the past few years I work as the artistic director of number of dance and arts festivals (Islington Dance Festival, London Belly Dance Festival, and Outsiders Arts Festival). I give regular classes, workshops and courses around Europe for professional/non professional dancers and specialised in dance for people with special needs and disabilities. “… I'm interested in the role of the choreographer in society. Can a choreographer make a change? Can choreography contribute to society? I believe so… Let’s dance.
