Bio
I have worked in IT for over 30 years. I have worked in large corporations and small companies. I have started three companies and currently co-own and run Glanton Solutions Ltd. www.glanton.com .We are a Corporate Web Solutions company. Our Clients include multi-nationals like BP and WeightWatchers. Personally I am interested in personal development and assisting others in their own development path. In my spare time I like nothing better than being with my big, grown-up kids.
I'm passionate about
I like to see design, communication and web technologies come together.
An idea worth spreading
I believe that everyone is an expert in something. It could be a simple as how to make a banana cake or how to change the exhaust on a 1979 Ford Capri. But no matter how simple or grand, that individual had to learn how to do it and had to overcome obstacles along the way. Most people under estimate the value of their experience and I like to arouse a recognition in people that their experience is valid and interesting.

The TED story
I have taken a lot out of TED webcasts and podcasts. I have shared my favourites and tried to explain what it's all about but there's no substitute for seeing or hearing a great thought or observation that really makes you sit up and take notice. One of my favourites is Hans Rosling and his great use of graphs. I am a TEDx mentor and I have advised on TEDxEaling, TEDxBathUniversity, TEDxUBIWiltz, TEDxReading, TEDxEastBrunswickHighSchool, and TEDxTotnes.
Things you might not know
Listening! I am fairly opinionated and can do my fair share of talking. But I like to listen first. Most of my friends wouldn't recognise that but it's true!
