The TED story
I was switching careers, leaving veterinarian medicine for good and finding each time more passion in my new teaching career when I heard a very important Chilean journalist (Fernando Paulsen) talk about edge.org and an opinion he found there from Roger C. Shank "we should call schools off for good" "schools are bad for children" he wrote, he made a compelling argument in my opinion, then I started looking for similar opinions and bumped into Sir Ken Robinson's Ted talk "schools kill creativity", I couldn't believe someone so different, so far away from me in every possible way thought just like me, I had found validation and support for my own ideas, I was hooked. That was 2006 and I'm still here. I've organized two TEDx events and continue to watch TEDTalks all the time
