making the most of what life I have. the older I get the more precious each day is and being a heart led person, there's alot of learning in living.

Conversation matters. Life isn't about any one individividual, more it is about the impact of what we do and the intentions behind what we do, consciously or otherwise and no matter how much technology advances for the good, the ability to be and remain human is what matters most to me.

A last minute speaker call out in September 2017 gave me the opportunity to give a TEDx talk. Within 5 weeks or so I was in Drogheda giving my TEDx talk Conversation Matters. All this at a time of great change in my life, stress and general commotion! In February of 2018, I woke up one morning and thought 'TEDxDunLaoghaire', went online and towards the end of April, the licence was granted. Instinctively somehow it came about and happened with so much help and support on October 26th 2018 and will run yearly around the same time. I recognise the joy and the learniing that has come from putting 'it out there', of course there are pressure points and stressful moments; it wouldn't be normal for all to be sweet, but there's learning in this too. And the learning is an essential part of every journey too. It gives much to reflect on, to write about and be thankful for. TEDx is about teamwork, about friendships, about relationships that bring something extraordinary together about loyalty, about patience and resilience. It is character building. For our TEDx Dun Laoghaire Team, it is about the beginning of an awfully big, exciting, wonderful adventure in which everyone plays their part.
