As an educator and speaker, I believe technology is only as powerful as the human intent behind it. My mission is to bridge the gap between complex engineering and meaningful social impact, ensuring that the next generation of innovators views code not just as a tool for efficiency, but as a force for good.With over 16 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering at M.H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, I have dedicated my career to redefining the learning ecosystem. My work with the MIT J-WEL Connect Implementation Team has allowed me to focus deeply on Learning Experience Design, moving beyond traditional lectures to create environments rooted in Design Thinking and experiential learning. I don’t just teach students how to program; I guide them through the "Experimentalism" and critical thinking required to solve real-world problems.On the public stage, I advocate for the ethical and transformative power of emerging tech. Whether I am speaking at international venues, like exploring how AI-driven audio-visual technologies are shaping the classrooms of tomorrow at InfoComm in Bangkok or conducting workshops on Cyber Security hygiene, my goal is to demystify technology for diverse audiences. I have designed and delivered specialized training on everything from Python and Logic Building to G Suite Essentials for virtual teaching, helping fellow educators and students alike navigate the digital shift.My research and projects reflect this same commitment to human-centric innovation. I have secured University of Mumbai research grants for projects that directly serve the vulnerable, including a Child Abuse Detection System, Blind Tennis technology, and a Disease Detection system for agriculture. My recent work dives into the cutting edge of decentralization and security, including building chatbots via Federated Learning, developing Blockchain-based crowdfunding applications, and using Landsat imagery to visualize landcover changes in refugee settlements.One of my greatest joys is serving as a mentor. Leading student teams to victory at the National Level Smart India Hackathon for four consecutive years (2017–2020) has reinforced my belief in the power of youth-led innovation. From developing secure communication tools for the Ministry of Defence to building student redressal systems for state governments, I have seen firsthand what happens when we empower students to lead with empathy and technical rigor.Beyond the classroom, I am a lifelong learner with a broad spectrum of certifications from Ethical Hacking and Network Security to Cloud Security and Train the Trainer. As the Convener of the Programmers’ Club and a lead for institutional software development, I remain committed to building the infrastructure, curricula, and communities that will define the future of tech education.
Her work spans the frontier of digital security and intelligence from Blockchain and Cryptography to Human-Machine Interaction. However, my true "idea worth spreading" lies in the ethical application. I was awarded a prestigious research grant for her work developing technological interventions to prevent child abuse, proving that data and algorithms can serve as a shield for the most vulnerable members of society.
A relentless mentor, I have become a fixture in the national innovation landscape. As a four-time winning mentor at the Smart India Hackathon, she doesn't just teach students how to build software; she teaches them how to build solutions. My leadership extends into the heart of campus culture, where she serves as a convener for women’s development and institutional ethics, ensuring that the next generation of tech talent is as inclusive as it is ingenious.
With a background in Cyber Law and a deep expertise in Responsible AI and Quantum Computing, I am a voice for a future where technology is not just fast and efficient, but safe, transparent, and profoundly human.
