Bio

I am a writer and the founding editor of kwani? (www.kwani.org) - a well-known literary magazine in Kenya. I am the visitIng writer at Union College in Upstate New York. I do some magazine writing. Mostly I try to find ways to make things happen for creative writers. I am part of a new generation of writers and editors who are determined to rebuilt the distribition of quality writing within the continent.
