Manu is the founder of the Infinity project, which was launched in January 2010 to photograph space beyond 100,000 feet; all that under $200 budget. He and his team became the youngest and first student team to photograph planet Venus and stars from Scorpion constellation in daylight. The team later reached the top 20 teams out of thousands of other teams from the world in National Geographic Channel's (UK) research program. He is passionate about designing airplanes, space tourism and next generation space technology. His company's subdivision Nuovo Aerospace has gathered a team of students to develop bio-inspired dynamically morphing wing technology for the next generation, super-efficient, UAVs. The company currently manages 5 interns. Currently, he is researching on vertical axis wind turbines and holds a patent in USA and India. Vertical axis wind turbines are an interesting aerodynamic problem. These turbines can be very beneficial for small energy production and can be manufactured at a very low cost. His intention is to solve the computational aerodynamics problems related to VAWTs and make this technology accessible to the people of Africa and Asia. His company has been selected as one of the top 110 companies from around the world to participate in the Start-Up Chile's $40k program, 2011. He is a Kairos Society Global Fellow 2011.
