Being someone who finds education important, I work very hard as a student. Much of my life is based around my academics. However, I do pursue different interests outside of the classroom. One example would be running. Even though I may not be very good at it, I love running because of the community that it provides. I’m also very interested in aviation which I’ve pursued by learning to fly gliders at a local airport.

Education is very important to me. Yet, over the course of my high school career, I have done little to promote the sharing of ideas and knowledge within my community. In looking for ways to do so, the TEDx platform stood out. I was first introduced to TED talks through my teachers and have found them to be useful in a variety of different aspects in my life. After having a similar take away from TEDxBedford, I have since wanted to bring such an event to my own community.
