About Bruno

I am a…

Change Agent, Concerned citizen, Connector, Scientist, Student, World traveler

Bio

My name is Bruno E. Ferreira Crespo. I was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia but I also have Brazilian nationality. I lived most of my life in my hometown but since I was young I always liked to travel. I lived a year in Germany as an exchange student where I learned the value of knowing new cultures. I study Food Engineering and am part of the Univalle Student Leaders Society (SOE), first as Director of the Social Welfare Committee, then as president, and now as supervisor. With the SOE I learned how important it is to support vulnerable populations and contribute your bit to improve the world in which we live. I am also a founder of Bolivia’s first Food Bank, La Manzana Roja, where we collect and deliver food for vulnerable children. My goal is to be able to change the mentality of the society in which I live, so that my country and the world can progress.

An idea worth spreading

Bolivia, as a developing country, has many limitations. Citizens do not worry about the thousands of problems we face every day. Problems such as corruption, pollution, sexism and many others affect the whole society and there is nothing that is done about it. The only viable solution in my point of view is to cultivate ideas in the minds of young people, that this generation does not stay with arms crossed like the previous ones and become agents of change.
