About Zeresenay
Bio
I am a paleoanthropologist and senior researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany. After I graduated from Addis Ababa University with BSc in geology, I traveled to Paris and earned my MSc and PhD from the University of Paris in Paleoanthropology. I then spent 4 years doing my postdoctoral research at Arizona State University before I joined my current institution in 2004.
I'm passionate about
What makes us human and the origins of the key attributes that we have today as humans: our past and the past of our planet
An idea worth spreading
That we are all ONE and diverse! Most people around the world from what ever country, skin color, religion, linguistic or ethnic group, social and educational status tend to concentrate on how different they are from others using these parameters. However the fact that we have language, society, education, country and religion is some thing to celebrate together and not fight about. It is the proof that we are all ONE as no other creature in the universe possesses these attributes.
